Lead Expeditor

TRS Staffing is searching for a Lead Expeditor, Manager, Material Management, in Sugarland, Texas.

This position serves as an Expeditor on small- to medium-sized Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction (EPFC) projects.

DUTIES:
●Serve as project member in the formulation of plans and the execution of the overall material management activity.
●Responsible for the implementation, management, and monitoring of the Material Management Work Process with the approved Corporate Reference Tool for Material Management.
●Manage the development of all purchasing and Material Management.
● Perform supervisory responsibilities
● Generate Request for Quotation (RFQ)/Purchase Orders (PO) in the approved material management reference system either for project, estimate or proposal work.
● Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations.
●Organize and prioritize a variety of complex projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
●Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.
●Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.
●Assist in the planning and execution of specialized Material Management activities (material control, procurement, expediting, logistics, inspection, or field material management) for the project or office.

Expediting:
• Create and instigate Project expediting plans, strategies, controls, and schedules
• Manage the Project Expediting Teams, and coordinate between work share offices
• Conduct periodic visits to suppliers in order to ensure successful execution
• Issue, maintain, update, and distribute documents governing the performance and development of Expediting, including, but not limited to, practices, work instructions, procedures


Education & Skills:
●10+ years EPC (capital projects) expediting experience required.
●Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience
●Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
●Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
●Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
