A prominent player in Offshore Energy Solutions, renowned for its cutting-edge floating production systems and specialized services for the Oil and Gas sector, has an exciting opportunity for a SCADA Engineer. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to ensure reliable monitoring and control of industrial processes. The position requires close collaboration with operations, IT, and engineering teams to deliver secure, efficient, and scalable automation solutions. The role is based in Equatorial Guinea.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and configure SCADA systems, including HMI screens, alarms, and data acquisition.
  • Integrate SCADA with PLCs, RTUs, and other field devices.
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance and implement preventive maintenance.
  • Provide technical support and resolve SCADA-related issues promptly.
  • Ensure SCADA systems adhere to cybersecurity best practices and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain procedures for system emergencies.
  • Prepare technical documentation, user manuals, and system diagrams.
  • The postholder is expected to adhere to all Legislative requirements the GEPZafiro 9 Lifesaving Rules and the GEPZAFIRO Values Train operators and maintenance personnel on SCADA functionality.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or related field.
  • ISA Certified Automation Professional (CAP).
  • SCADA vendor-specific certifications.
  • 3-5 years of experience in SCADA system design and maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with major SCADA platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols, networks, programming languages and computer security systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting and database management (SQL).
  • Familiarity with networking and cybersecurity principles.
