We are Looking for a Site Architect working for a globally leading EPC on a project in Royston.
- Outside IR35
- Initial 6 month
The candidate will be:
- Construction site architect working with interdisciplinary team at site overseeing execution of architectural building elements from the principal contractors side on medium to large, mid complexity or medium risk projects, ensuring they are delivered within time and budget to the quality expectations of our clients.
- Will be undertaking tasks to ensure compliance at site upholding values such as Safety, Quality, Creativity, Integrity and Teamwork.
- Collaborating with contractors, client representatives, engineering home office and vendors
The candidate will be responsible:
- To ensure regulatory compliant execution of architectural elements at site.
- To Understand, prepare and update architectural design engineering drawings and details at site.
- To Review and approve contractors documentation such as technical submittals, RFI, Shop Drawings, Installation drawings etc. against the IFC packages issued by home offices.
- To Instigate and lead discussions related specifically to Architectural and related issues in construction work.
- Professionally qualified Architect with relevant degree (or equivalent), plus post qualification experience of 15 years.
- Having at least 5 years of experience working at construction site.
- Aware of construction safety protocols followed at site.
- Having experience of working in industrial projects environment with different operational areas, for a range of clients and service users.
- Ability to provide effective support to implement and deliver effective change in the project.
- Strong demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Having demonstrable knowledge of the application, principles, theory and practice of Architectural design and delivery. Strong understanding of other building and engineering related disciplines or requirements of these in the effective design, co-ordination and delivery of projects.
- Having strong ability to apply technical judgement to ensure projects are compliant with design standards and regulatory norms in the UK.
- Having intermediate knowledge of software such as AutoCAD and Navisworks. Strong at office 365 packages.
- Aware of architectural building specification in UK such as NBS specs.
- Having knowledge of UK contract formats such as NES and I-ChemE
- Having Prior experience of executing fire stopping and sealing in buildings at site will be preferable.
- Having prior experience of building fitouts and finishing will be preferable.
