SUMMARY:
The Site Superintendent/Site Safety Health Officer is responsible for ensuring project personnel are sufficiently trained and qualified to execute assigned tasks and for assessing and reporting progress to the Project Manager.
DUTIES:
• Supervision of all field activities, in-house and subcontract laborers, and coordinating site logistics.
• Routinely assess work activities to ensure tasks are performed in accordance with the requirements detailed in the specification and Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
• Ensure equipment is inspected, meets APP safety requirements and is adequate to meet the intended function for the project.
• Generates, secures, or otherwise confirms all information needed to create, monitor, and modify the progress schedule on a continuing basis.
• Implements the company’s health and safety program; conducts and/or participates in associated training, safety meetings and inspections.
• Implements site safety and emergency plans.
• Identifies field-construction and work-sequence considerations when finalizing bid package purchases.
• Develops the progress schedule with the Project Manager or Operations Manager.
• Participates in scope reviews of the various bid packages to properly coordinate their respective interfaces and ensure nothing has been missed.
• Works with the Project Manager to develop and administer the site utilization program, site services, security arrangements, and other facilities and arrangements necessary for appropriate service to the construction effort.
• Establishes a punch list and close-out procedures list.
• Ensures all subcontracts, material purchases, submittals, deliveries, clarifications, and changes are processed on time and comply with contract requirements.
• Prepares daily reports, job diaries, narratives, and all other documentation as determined by the company and by the project needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Advanced degree in relevant field
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience working as a Superintendent in a construction setting.
• OSHA 10 hour.
• OSHA 30 hour 501 preferred.
• Current USACE Contactor Quality Management for Construction Training.
• HAZWOPER – Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response certification.
• CPR – First Aid certification preferred.
