The South Flank Project is being executed by a fully Integrated Project Team (IPT), jointly established by BHP and Fluor, consisting of employees from both organisations as well as other contracting organisations as applicable. The BHP Charter Values will underpin the success of the IPT and South Flank Project, creating a culture which promotes trust, team engagement and productivity.

The project has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Specialist to join the project team, based on site on a 15:6 roster.

About the role

Position is intended to be Port Hedland based for the duration of the Heavy Haulage movements. The person will be responsible for the daily reporting and coordination supporting the superintendent . The person will supervise works individually at sites between PPA, Boodarie and all the way to SF. The team is lean and as such this person will have responsibilities from admiration, scheduling, HSE, reporting, cost review, claim mitigation and general coordination with the Contractor, Freight forwarder and SF site.

Position desired experience, competencies and qualifications:

Experience in the SF and BHP systems and understanding of reporting requirements. Good administrative and office skills. General knowledge regarding logistics is preferred. Good communication and influencing skills. ability to work remotely or as part of a small team. Needs to be able to self-manage time and different priorities.
