Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engaging sessions on technical procedures, safety practices, and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain training schedules, records, and compliance documentation.
- Recommend and implement learning technologies and tools to enhance training.
- Lead and support a network of field trainers and trainees to ensure consistent and effective learning experiences.
- Monitor training budgets and report on resource utilization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align training initiatives with business and safety priorities.
- Design and deliver training programs across multiple formats, including in-person, digital, and on-the-job learning.
- Evaluate training outcomes and use data to refine content and delivery methods.
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps.
- Manage onboarding programs to ensure new employees are equipped for success.
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in a training and development role, preferably in a field-based or industrial environment.
- 5+ years of experience in the rail industry.
- Certification in track inspection standards or equivalent field-based inspection training.
- Certification in operating rules and safety protocols relevant to rail or heavy infrastructure environments.
- Skilled in facilitating both in-person and virtual training sessions.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in high-risk industries.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
- Experience with learning management systems and data-driven training evaluation is an asset.
