The role will see you ensure that operations and maintenance (O&M) base stores is operating efficiently with all parts, tools, and PPE required for operations is available when required.
Manage all stock and equipment movements within the O&M building using the appropriate software databases to ensure financial and operational integrity as well as ensuring all operations within the O&M stores (including the yard) are carried out in a safe manner and completed as per the method statements produced.
The Role
- Manage the goods in process both physically and electronically, adding incoming goods to the appropriate database (SAP) and putting stock away into the designated location.
- Issuing goods internally to work teams as part of both planned and reactive works. Also managing the return of unused items and their reintegration into stock.
- Manage collections by couriers and book consignments on third party portals (or via email) as required.
- Audit stock holdings through monthly and annual stock counts, and also track individual stock levels to ensure minimum stock levels are not exceeded. Where necessary, liaising with suppliers to place orders, track delivery timescales and complete relevant administration.
- Administer the location, quantity and functionality of tooling and equipment on-site. This process will include using relevant databases to track inspection and servicing regimes for specific equipment, as well as liaising with service providers to ensure equipment is safe and functional.
- Administer the location, quantity and functionality of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Working at Heights equipment, and lifting equipment on-site (as per PUER and LOLER regulations). This process will include using relevant databases to track inspection and servicing regimes for specific equipment, as well as liaising with service providers to ensure equipment is safe and functional.
- Ensure waste management at site is carried out as per the sites waste management plan, and that service providers are collecting waste in a timely way that does not impact on the site’s operational functionality.
- Monitor operations ensure they adhere to operational best practice and all method statements and approved work practices and help to develop risk assessments and method statements for the O&M stores when requested.
