An incredible chance is now available for an Engineering Manager to provide overall engineering execution leadership on projects of varying size and complexity. This role ensures coordinated engineering delivery aligned with project baselines, quality standards, budget requirements, and execution strategy.  This role is based in Johannesburg.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Full accountability for engineering team performance and delivery to project baselines.

• Develop and lead the Engineering Portion of the Project Execution Strategy.

• Lead planning of engineering schedules, interdependencies, and milestone alignment.

• Manage interfaces across engineering disciplines and other project functions (PM, Controls, Procurement, Construction).

• Ensure compliance with technical standards, codes, regulations, and Fluor work practices.

• Oversee change management, engineering budget, schedule, and progress measurement.

• Lead design reviews, model reviews, safety reviews, and ensure action item closure.

• Promote Cost Competitive Execution and collaboration.

• Support staffing, training, coaching, and development of engineering personnel.

• Maintain client relationships and oversee technical issue resolution.

• Lead risk reviews, audits, gate reviews, and ensure alignment with Unison Baseline.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Accredited 4‑year engineering degree and 10–20+ years engineering experience depending on Engineering Manager level (I–IV).

• Prior experience as Project Engineering Lead on FEED and Detail Design projects.

• Professional registration preferred.

• Strong leadership, strategic decision-making, communication, and multidisciplinary understanding.
