TRS Staffing Solutions have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical and Electrical LV/HV Commissioning Engineer. This role will be working with a Major Offshore Windfarm Developer.
The role is on contract and has been determined as OUTSIDE of IR35. 12 months plus contract duration.

Main duties:
Proven M&E Commissioning Engineer familiar with Low Voltage auxiliary systems used in substation environments.
Proven track record in a Client role.
Understanding of interfaces with HV Safety Rules and Safe Systems of Work.
Self-starting with planning/coordination and problem solving abilities.

To act safely at all times in compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety policy and procedures.
Coordinate the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) commissioning team activities driving the work scope to meet the project programme working alongside the Electrical Package Site representatives and key supplier representatives.
Ensure the witnessing of the commissioning at the Onshore Converter Station (OCS) and coordinating the witnessing on the Offshore Converter Platform (OCP) Low Voltage M&E plant/systems with local support as required.
Provide input to the Electrical Package quality documentation (i.e. Snag Lists)
Investigate and report on any M&E system events/faults during the commissioning phase.
Work alongside the Electrical Package site representatives and key supplier representatives to deliver the M&E Commissioning activities as Clients Engineer, driving the work scope forwards on site to meet the project programme.
Ensure asset integrity of equipment during the Commissioning phase.
Investigate and report on M&E system events during the commissioning phase.
Interface with the Operations and Maintenance Department and prepare relevant handover documentation.

Deliverables:
Ensure accurate weekly reporting to the Commissioning Package Manager and record keeping on progress and issues.
Represent M&E Commissioning team in coordination and planning meetings.
Provide technical M&E support to the Transmission System Commissioning Manager.
Provide technical M&E support to the Project Senior Authorised Persons for the development of all relevant site procedures and Local Management Instructions.
Support the production of all procedures and RAMS that may be required by the M&E Commissioning team in accordance with the Contractors Safe Systems of Work on and offshore.
Ensure equipment suppliers complete all required maintenance activities prior to Takeover.
Liaise with Engineering and Quality Departments to ensure Outstanding Engineering/Quality Issues are reported and resolved.
Support Commissioning Package Manager to ensure required M&E Commissioning procedures are available.
Responsible for ensuring accurate ‘As Built’ Drawings and Commissioning Records are kept and signed off by the Subcontractor.

Qualifications:
Relevant technical education, for example Electrical Engineering Degree/HNC or equivalent.
IOSH/NEBOSH Certification or equivalent Safety Passport/Competency Card.
