The functions of the Project Manager during the construction process include:
• Coordinate, supervise, and support the Owner in construction-related activities.
• Prepare monitoring reports or support the Owner on this task in order to complete the reports for financing institutions or internal investment committees.
• Complete ownership of schedule, cost, and quality of the Project.
• Review, approve, and deliver all Project-based contractual obligations.
• Collaborate in the preparation, review, and/or approval of Project budgets.
• Collaborate, review, and/or approve all engineering designs (mechanical, electrical and civil) including detailed design, drawings, and engineering documents with internal, outsourced, and contractor’s engineering teams.
• Review and ensure the finalization of all scope of work, professional service agreements, and sub-contractor agreements related to the Project.
• Coordination of all necessary construction inspections with lenders (and their representatives).
• Determine the necessity of subcontractors or third-party vendors and take the appropriate courses of action to ensure the completion of Project milestones within deadlines and within approved budgets.
• Provide internal and external communications and reports as they pertain to the Projects’ construction budget, schedule, quality, health and safety. Hold weekly status update meetings with stakeholders.
• Organize weekly on-site Project meetings with subcontractors performing work on Project.
• Participate in the construction meetings in order to review Project progress, technical issues, possible problems and solutions, and measures to achieve the targeted cost, quality and schedule control
• Implement all corrective actions scope of work and issue work orders to subcontractors.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience as site manager at a photovoltaic plant / solar farm
• 7 years of experience in the construction of photovoltaic plants
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, and clients
• Strong proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office Suite
