Responsible for:

Managing the OH&S on site.

Develop, maintain and implement site wide processes improvement strategies and ensure compliance to HSE Standards.

Lead, coach and mentor team members and subcontractors to ensure delivery against performance targets and improvement plans.

Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with and the continual improvement of the Safety Health and Environmental Management Systems.

Provide leadership, guidance and direction to subcontractor’s specialist in executing their role.

Assist to develop and embed a safety culture that ensures that everyone one goes home safe every day and that is focused on working together to achieve our project milestones.
About you:

Safety Qualification (minimum Certificate IV OHS).

BHP/Rio Tinto experience preferred but not essential.

Must hold current licenses or certificates.

A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role on a large scale project within the mining sector will be highly regarded.

Current driver’s license.
-
Demonstrated ability to work well within a fast paced, high performance team environment.

You must have the right to live and work in Australia to apply for this job.
