TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting long-term opportunity for a Lead Expeditor to join a global leader in engineering consulting. This role is ideal for experienced professionals seeking to advance their leadership and project coordination skills within the supply chain management domain.
As a Lead Expeditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely delivery of materials and documentation across complex EPCM projects. You will lead expediting efforts, coordinate with suppliers and project teams, and proactively resolve delivery challenges to maintain project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate expediting activities across all phases of project execution.
- Oversee supplier performance from purchase order to final delivery, ensuring timely receipt of materials and equipment.
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to align expediting strategies with project milestones.
- Manage and mentor expediting personnel, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain project-specific expediting plans, procedures, and reports.
- Interface with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve delays and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and ethical practices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant experience in expediting, supply chain, or materials management, preferably in mining, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects.
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven leadership in managing expediting functions on medium to large capital projects.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel as required.
